The Smart Destinations Board of Directors

Smart Destinations is led by a talented team of senior-level travel and technology professionals who bring solid experience in applying technology solutions to the travel industry. They have been instrumental to the success of several start-up ventures as founders or members of senior management teams, and are positioned to manage and grow Smart Destinations from a domestic innovator to an international leader in the travel industry.


CEO, Founder

Kevin is responsible for Smart Destinations’ overall business strategy and direction, including the company’s operations and marketing efforts. With more than 15 years of marketing and product management experience, Kevin’s vision is behind the company’s global growth. A veteran entrepreneur, Kevin has played a leading role at a number of successful global software brands and Internet start-up companies, including Netspoke (acquired by Premier Conferencing), exchange.com (acquired by Amazon), and Delphi Internet (acquired by News Corporation), as well as launching first generation products for Sybase and FTP Software.


President & General Manager, Destinations, Founder

A 12-year industry veteran of the wholesale travel business, Cecilia is leading the charge in Smart Destinations’ expansion into new markets and with new products, thanks to her team’s growing network of worldwide partnerships. Prior to founding Smart Destinations, Cecilia developed innovative travel packages throughout the world and was most recently responsible for a $30 million line of business for Collette Vacations, one of the largest and most successful travel wholesalers in the United States. Cecilia also spent six years at Saga Holidays, a travel company specializing in programs for travelers aged 50 and over. Cecilia was recently named one of Boston Business Journal's Top 40 Executives under 40 for 2005.


Chief Financial Officer
In his role as CFO, Steve is responsible for the financial, legal and administration functions at Smart Destinations. Prior to joining Smart Destinations, Steve was Chief Financial Officer at Engim, a developer of wireless LAN infrastructure silicon solutions. Steve also served as CFO of Openpages, Inc., an enterprise software company, Cimaron Communications Corp., a communications semiconductor company that was acquired by Applied Micro Circuits Corp (AMCC) in 1999 and FASTech Integration, Inc., a manufacturing automation software company that was acquired by Brooks Automation in 1997.



Chief Technology Officer, Founding Team

Tyler is responsible for the development and operation of the Smart Destinations smart card network and Web-based operating system. With a diverse background in technology and software development, Tyler has a deep understanding of building successful products from scratch. In addition to building systems that track nuclear submarines and fish populations, Tyler has led successful development teams at Asymetrix and Sybase. Tyler also co-founded one of the world’s first online catalog publishing tools, PurchaseNet, which was acquired by Sybase fewer than two years after its founding.


Chief Communications Officer, Founding Team

An award-winning designer, Ed brings a wealth of valuable print and Web design experience to the Smart Destinations team. Ed is responsible for all marketing materials, Web site design, and all publications for our Go Visitor Cards. Ed has designed Web sites for companies including AT&T, Citibank, Standard & Poors, and Intuit. Ed also was the art director and principal designer of iWant.com, a venture-backed online marketplace.
