Read on to find a hotel for your next trip to Boston.
For those with kids… The Best Western Boston lets kids under 18 stay for free when they travel with a parent. Complimentary breakfast, high-speed wireless access, and parking are also included in room rates, and the hotel is on the Green line, so it’s a subway ride away from Fenway Park, Boston Children’s Museum, and many more attractions.
For those with pets… The Onyx Hotel offers specially designed pet packages so you and your animals can travel in style. Amenities include gourmet dog cookies, clean-up bags, dog walking and dog sitting services. Human guests can enjoy 24 hour room service, complimentary newspaper and wireless internet, plus a chic contemporary décor. The Onyx is near the New England Sports Museum and TD Banknorth Garden in Downtown Boston.
For the honeymooner… The Park Plaza Hotel features elegant accommodations in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. The area also offers plenty of activities like shopping on Newbury Street or strolling through Boston Commons. Guests can also walk to the Beantown Trolley and the Swan Boats (open mid-April to mid-September).
For the budget-conscious… Hotel 140 is tucked between Copley Square and the South End in the headquarters of America’s first YWCA. Easy walking distance to Prudential Center, Newbury Street, and the Public Gardens, the building also houses Lyric Stage Company, which bills itself as Boston’s off-Broadway theatre. Rooms are basic but include private bathrooms, cable TV, and free wireless internet.
For the business traveler… If you’re attending a conference at the new Boston Convention & Exhibit Center or doing business at the Seaport World Trade Center, then you couldn’t find a more convenient location than the Seaport Hotel. This swanky hotel offers a state-of-the-art health club (complete with spa and 50 foot pool!), unlimited wireless internet access in guest rooms, and an award-winning seafood restaurant downstairs. The newly opened Institute of Contemporary Art and the ferry to Provincetown.
For the night owl… Plush accommodations and a location right in Boston’s theatre district make the Doubletree Hotel Boston (pictured above) ideal for those want to enjoy Boston’s nightlife scene. Sing karaoke or party at one of the bars nearby, catch a play or dance performance down the street, or enjoy late night sushi in Chinatown. After a night on the town, relax with the Doubletree’s plush-top mattresses and down comforters. There’s even complimentary coffee for the next morning.
