The MIT Museum

Included general admission with the Go Boston Card
Robots, holography, MIT lore, and cutting-edge exhibits blending art and technology draw visitors from around the world to the MIT Museum. No dusty academic enclave, the MIT Museum is bursting with creative energy that brings the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s world-renowned research and innovation to life.
The new Mark Epstein Innovation Gallery represents a 3 million dollar rehab of 5,000 sq. ft, now the first floor of the museum. The exhibitions ranging from underwater exploration to cancer research to a stackable car designed for energy efficient urban driving are some examples of the latest research visitors can interact with. Young and old alike are also drawn to the amazing collection of holograms, the time-stopping beauty of strobe photography, and the beloved kinetic sculptures of Arthur Ganson. And don’t forget to introduce yourself to Kismet, the world’s first sociable robot.
